In my opinion, it's really quite scary to think that we can't use a guy that would be considered our best left fielder since Manny Ramirez and would be our best left fielder for many years to come considering we have jack poop in the system.
I can look past a childish indescretion once in a while. Some players mature later than others. I'm willing to take the chance on Young. Hell! He's only 25 years old an not even in the prime of his baseball career. You really can't overlook the fact that he came close to winning a ROY AND an MVP in his short career.
As far as conditioning is concerned, he must be doing something right. He did trim 30 pounds and has gotten down to a svelte 200 pounds. But! What the hell do I know!?!?
