Tiggers got lucky late and stretched their lead over us to a scant two in Chicago.

Bad news for the Tiggers is that they are now on the South Side of Chicago, and also that their home is in Detroit.

I've lived and worked in Chicago and wish I had not, and spent way too much time on business in Detroit.

Cleveland Rocks.

Edit: Though I did know a good bartender out in the direction of Livonia MI who opened up his own small sports bar and served up a great and remotely healthy turkey pastrami reuben. His signature move was to salt the bar as he tossed toothpicks after the food and along with the next beer.

It's a sad state of affairs when a guy in the last year of a contract won't even stomach Cleveland for a few short months and knowing that there is no guarantee that he will get traded to one of his preferred teams.

Beltran played high school volley ball.

We don't need him in Cleveland. He's picky about where he plays and I'm not sure the City of Cleveland will be able to provide him with enough places to have his nails done.

Prediction: Carlos Beltran will drift into oblivion just as former Met George Foster did.
