Bieber was about 1 mph faster but still off his "prime" and his massive strikeout numbers are no longer part of his game.

But he was effective, through over 100 pitches and kept us in a 1-1 tie.
Sandlin now the team leader with 3 wins: evidences lots of late inning rallies.

Giminez with the go ahead double, gives his 20 RBI which is more than he's had in any previous season.

Going to the game tonight. Doing research on the pitching matchup

Pitching matchups and starting times: RHP Zach Plesac (1-3, 4.68) vs. RHP Connor Overton (1-0, 1.59) on Tuesday at 6:10 p.m.; RHP Cal Quantrill (1-2, 3.93) vs. RHP Tyler Mahle (2-4, 5.89) on Wednesday at 6:10 p.m.

According to Baseball Savant, Overton is in the 20th percentile or lower in a myriad of meaningful categories. Overton's hard hit percentage, expected batting average (xBA), whiff-rate, and fastball velocity are all among the worst in baseball. Let's hope that his luck runs out

Some impressions from Tuesday

Pleasac is bigger than I thought -- He looked like a tight end. He also looked out of shape based on his body language to me.

The reds pitcher looked like Civale from 2 years ago. His fastball was around 89-91. He threw mostly fastballs and sliders with a few change ups (based on the scoreboard). In the third inning, he had 30 pitches and 26 for strikes. Being around the plate, he also go some close calls from the ump. maybe Civale is trying to throw too many pitches.

Stephenson is stud. Hits the balls hard and looked good behind the plate.
