I’m hoping for a very interesting Trade market this winter!

Allen has disappointed me; and I've been disappointed they have not pinch hit for him with men on base; two nights ago or was it yesterday Luplow was available. Excellent defense player but I think we can do better internally.
Zimmer: who knows? He's not produced yet in his career and this season was a total waste. As has been noted here perhaps his new stance will enable him to stop striking out all the time? I think he's probably overly aggressive in both the field and at bat which winds up with fractures and strike outs.
Naquin proved himself again and then went out again. I'll hang on to him; can play any position pretty well.
Luplow. Better than we expected.
Mercado. Not perfect but has been very impressive. Could be a really good one.
Reyes. You'd hope that with 36 homers he'd have more than 79 rbi and would have an OPS of more than 816. And we don't know if he can play RF well enough. But at minimum he's a homerun hitter but not an all star.
Johnson. could join Luplow and Mercado as a trio of good reasonably cheap pickups in 2018 to bolster a known area of weakness.
Tom. a small lefty. Is he Brian Giles reborn?

Still trying to figure out how, after all the injuries, we still have 93 wins with 2 games to go. More than last season.

Yet the Central is still actually better than last season. Start with the 100 win Twins, obviously, and even the White Sox are up to 70 wins this season.

The team overachieved and also added good young pieces. Sounds good to me.

We didn't "win it all" but Houston is so far above the others in the American League. The Yankees might give them a push, but I'm betting Houston in the A.L.

If I were Antonetti, I would:

1. Trade Lindor this off season. We will not be able to keep him once he hits the market so lets cash in.
2. Extend Ramirez. He may not have the Lindor smile, but he can drive the team like Frankie.
3. Trade Kluber. Even damaged, he will bring in a good return, and it appears we have a competitive pitching staff without him.
4. Extend Clevenger. No question an ACE.
5. Trade Allen, Bauers and Naquin. Roll the dice on Zimmer, Johnson and Tom.
6. Rush Nolan in as our 3rd baseman and plant him there.
7. Keep Mike Freeman. Keep Yu Chang.
8. Let Plawecki go, keep Haase.

agree with 3, with 4, trade Allen and perhaps Naquin; give Bauers another year. Neutral on the backup catchers.
Is Frankie a FA after 2020? If so, shop him. If not, keep him

Jose is signed until 2022 at very team friendly price.

Browns beat the Ravens in Baltimore today. Was a worse beating than score shows, as they got a late junk TD.

So baseball season is officially over. We may now return to Brownstown.

The Indians acquired Puig as part of a three-team deal on July 31. Puig came Cincinnati. Franmil Reyes, the other big piece in the deal, arrived from San Diego as the Indians parted was with Trevor Bauer.

“I’ve enjoyed it a lot,” said Puig. “I’ve loved being here here with these guys. . .These last two months, I’ve been so happy to be here, next to Francisco Lindor, Jose Ramirez and Franmil Reyes. Carlos Satnana has helped me out a lot to be a better baseball player and person. I’m so happy to be here and see what is going to hapen after the season.”

Puig, who was not in the starting lineup Sunday, is hitting .297 (54-for-182) with two homers and 23 RBI in 49 games since the deal. For the season, he’s hitting .267 (148-for-555) with 24 homers and 84 RBI.

Not likely. Problem is RF is Reyes' only position. And Puig will want $$ that is way more than Franmil.

Nice to hear though the impact our players had on him. And I wish we could keep him, he is a force in the lineup.

Whether Puig stayed or not I would put Reyes in left field.

With limited viewings it seems Reyes has apretty good arm just as puig does but one must be able to get to the ball.
