I didn't give up on the game but I gave up on forum. Didn't think anyone was here.

The wife got home from work middle of the 9th and wanted to watch O'Reilly, which we DVR everyday. I told her to hold on, I had sat through this frustrating game this long I wanted to finish it out. Boy I'm glad I did. The first 8 1/2 frustrating innings was worth the big ending.

The home plate ump, Dana Demuth, really did suck tonight.

That is the TV call, CALI. I'd like to hear Hammy's call on the radio, too.

Hey, I haven't lived in Cleveland for 1/3 of a century. Referencing Steve Martin's The Jerk, I usually do know sh&t from Shinola. However I do not clock the differences between our radio broadcasters from our TV broadcasters.

The last time I paid any note was when Joe Tait would begin a broadcast with "It's a beautiful day for baseball."

We had gone to bed and my wife had fallen asleep reading a book while I watched the game with the sound way down. As soon as Pronk made contact, I yelled and sat up both arms extended!!!

My wife said: "I love you Lou, but please dont ever do that again." :P

I actually bailed out after the 7th, but checked back at the top of the ninth.

I missed the Bautista blast. And hey, he made a great play in the field on LaPorta. Guy has an absolute cannon of an arm. I hadn't seen someone throw like that since Dunston.

The Bautista homer was yet another one off Sipp. Way way too homer friendly for a late innnig man. 7 in 35 innings. 12 in 63 last year. 5 of the 7 to RH batters. He gets out of these streaks as unexpectedly as he gets into them but for now we really can't risk putting him in with a tying run at bat, or perhaps he has to be limited to matchup with LH..
