His 2017 season was also cut short due to a right middle finger injury, with Velasquez making only 15 starts with a record of 2–7 and a 5.13 ERA, and 68 strikeouts in 72 innings.[15][5] He battled inconsistency, walking 4.3 batters per nine innings. At the plate, he batted .250.[15]
So this guy's career got sidetracked with injury stuff. He is still on the Phillies.

10799Yeah, I don't know civ. If you look at his 2017 numbers, those were fine! And doing that in Oakland and Seattle, both crappy hitting parks. If he had just been able to duplicate that, nothing more, it wasn't much of a stretch.
