Speaking of trades ... I mentioned this in Minors Folder but in case someone don't follow that ... how good is that Yan Gomes trade looking? Daniel Johnson with 2 more hits today for Akron. And Jefry Rodriguez. For Gomes, who isn't doing much at all in D.C.

OK Mercado struck out 3 times and was HBP but his just being there frightened our guys into doing well for if Mercado hits someone is GOING DOWN! That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

It sure is great that all the game stats since Abner Doubleday are now online. I can therefore qucikly research and report with certainty that Jordan Luplow now holds the career record of 2-HR games by any Luplow. Al never hit more than one in a game.

Adam Plutko will start for the Indians on Saturday. Shane Bieber and Carlos Carrasco will be pushed back to Sunday and Monday, respectively.

Adam pitched very well in his second appearance and was atrocious in his first performance for Columbus. He has pitched a total of 5 1/3 innings this season. Is he any more prepared than Cody Anderson was?
