8-1 on a whole bunch of RBI hits in the 5th, including a single by Buck on which he pulls up on the way to first and leaves the game for former Red Austin Kearns. Clippers are in Toledo tonight so Ezequiel Carrera can't make it to Cincinnati until after this game is over.

"The Field of Dreams" is not all that far out of the way on the trip home. Also, you can see Northeastern Iowa where the glacier missed and there is rolling terrain and high bluffs over the Mississippi River that few think of when thinking of Iowa.

I bet the corn is getting high enough that the walk through it off the "Field of Dreams" would be worthwhile. When I was there it was just before harvest and it was an unexpectedly slightly emotional experience. I'm very glad I went there, though I haven't checked on the latest status.
Thanks for the tip, but I drove straight home. Left after the Twins game, drove to WI, then arrived in Cleveland last evening.

Glad you made it home safe, JR.

I just have the Cincy radio broadcast.

Do we know yet what happened to Carmona that he had to leave in the 3rd?
Pulled a quad muscle running to first.

Thanks, JR. At least it wasn't an arm or shoulder.

He was in a lot of pain after fielding that grounder with his bare hand. I was surprised to see him up there bunting in the bottom of the inning. But the way he has been pitching, it may be a blessing.
