Re: GameTime!™
21073Under the radar hero Josh Tomlin. Oh, and Girardi for not challenging when Chiz was NOT hit by the pitch.

Re: GameTime!™
21074Regarding Brantley JR - I do think it's unrealistic to think after all the time off he can come out of the chute hitting like a machine (his usual status).
Add to that he didn't even expect to play today.
Optimistic spin - we won the game and Brantley got to see some live pitching. VERY GOOD live pitching. Every at bat he gets brings him closer.
If anyone can get up and running quickly, it's the amazing hitting mechanics of Brantley.

Re: GameTime!™
21075I agree with all that, TFIR, and that's why I question his inclusion on the roster. If he had gotten back to play the last week of the season, it would be different. Of course, we all want him to be the Brantley we know and love, but can he do that under these circumstances?
As for the (non) HBP, I just heard them moaning about it on ESPN. It's great to see them crying over their beloved Skankees! And one of the biggest whiners is Stephen A. Smith!
