Re: Just Baseball: Major League teams OTHER THAN the Tribe
2012they still publish the Sporting News?! That was the first place I discovered minor league stats and I was hooked for life.
And the Baseball Digest Rookie Issue every winter was my favorite work of literature in the 1960s

2013Online only now:

I got a subscription when I was a kid, too. I was disappointed that they had a lot of articles about sports I didn't care about. I only wanted baseball news! I remember getting a "Dope Book" for subscribing, which had info about all the teams.

2014Baseball Digest claims to still exist. I haven't seen an issue in at least a couple decades:

If anyone read back in the 60's do you remember the Death on the Diamond mystery serial?

2016Whoa. This is something you don't hear every day. The St.Louis Cardinals are being investigated by the F.B.I. for hacking into the Houston Astros computer system. If they did and got info such as draft rankings or something then I hope MLB is smart enough to crush them for it. Can't be having that.
Re: Just Baseball: Major League teams OTHER THAN the Tribe
2017Well, this explains it...

2018Hopefully, the league will strip them of all titles, and make them ineligible for postseason play.Hillbilly wrote:Whoa. This is something you don't hear every day. I mean, that's what the NCAA does....
Re: Just Baseball: Major League teams OTHER THAN the Tribe
2019No truth to the rumor they hacked the Tribe's data base first and decided to move on to a team worth hacking.

2020ONE STRIKE AWAY from a perfect game, and Max Scherzer hit a batter. Still got a no-hitter, but what a heartbreak!

2021What a surprise. Chris Perez caught doping, suspended 50 games. Dude is still a low life.

2024Guess who started at DH for the Phillies today, and went 3 for 5?
None other than Grady Sizemore!
Just when you thought he was all done...

2025The Phillies let him go, J.R. Tampa picked him up and just activated him. In time for our series this week.
But yes, 3-5 w/ a dbl and rbi today for Tampa, out of the 2 hole.
