Gets Fielder to pop up.
So again it's up to Victor and perhaps Jhonny.

11630Whew indeed!
Pestano and Perez get an inning each to keep Tigers to only 2 runs.

Re: GameTime!™
11632And Vinnie to the rescue: 3 run homer to Hunter and the game is tied. Go Tribe!
Re: GameTime!™
11635Wild pitch by Allen puts 2 in scoring position.
N.B. Santana is back of the plate so WP may be mis-characterized?

11636I have also liked Martinez! He fans to leave the score tied, for little while anyway. Tigers will get another chance in the 9th.
Re: GameTime!™
11638Bullpen needs a good talking to.
One step at a time when you are trying to recover how about first pitch strike?

11639More than a talking to:
Pestano needs to work things out, hopefully he can, in Columbus. I am sure he has options left, I don't know if he's ever been sent down since he was first on the 40 man roster. Now is a good time: if things were out OK he can be back right after the All Star game, or he stays in the minors as long as necessary.
Allen has been less steady lately but he's been better than most of them, so he can take over the 8th inning.
Shaw has been terrible for the past month or so. Don't know if he has options available. If so, he goes to Columbus, too. Langwell can come back. Or perhaps Chen Lee is ready for the majors; he's been a serious bullpen prospect for a couple years and seems to be rehabbing very well from surgery. Not sure if Shaw shouldn't be DFA'd if necessary; he did show some ability early on, but we cannot keep him around if he cannot get anyone out currently.
I know Hagadone is not popular but he's better than Hill. Whenever his most recent 10 day waiting period ends, bring him up and demote Hill.
That's probably not enough to rebuild the pen. Should consider a trade. Anyone want Ezequiel Carrera and Cord Phelps for a really solid setup man?
