I give the Royals a lot of credit too for that game. They are playing well right now, and didn't quit on their home field. They are NOT an easy opponent any more.

Not quite the outcome I was expecting. We have to win 2 out of these 3 games. The KC collapse was not a way to head into this weekend series.

It's a four game series, JOE.
But you're right, we need at least a split. I was really looking forward to this game. I wasn't sure we'd win, but we are laying a colossal egg tonight!
Lots of fans who never come to a game aren't seeing much to want them to come back.

I had a bad feeling about this game. For as much as it would have made a statement for them to come out and win it......I woke up, looked at the MLB site, saw it was pregame warmups, and decided to go back to sleep without turning game day on.

It's only the one game, if they get their shit together and get the split or even win the next three it will be great, though it's more likely this is game 3 of a 6 game losing streak.....then they'll turn around and rattle off 7 of 10 or something after the all star break.....thats been what they're doing and keeping pace. I just wish it wouldn't happen when the Tigers came to town.

As far as lots of fans not coming back, I'd bet that at least 40% were Detroit fans anyway, and half those will be there all weekend.

Kluber is on the mound next. He started the last game the tribe won.
Kluber has turned into the Tribe's streak buster -- six times he has taken the mound this year following a Cleveland loss and in those starts he has gone 4-1 with an ERA of 2.38 and 40 strikeouts in 41.2 innings of work. In the other game, (May 26 against Boston), he earned a no-decision despite giving up just one run and striking out 10 as the Tribe bullpen fell apart in the ninth inning.
Well lets hope he can do it again, and the bullpen don't blow it.

At least we scored some runs yesterday....they just scored more.

I actually expected Carrasco to be a major contributor. Wrong. He'll obviously be the one sent out when McAllister returns, soon I hope. Danny Salazar may be moving up to "No.6" starter status; another 5 shutout innings yesterday in AAA with 8or 9 strikeouts; but he's still on a limited pitch count.

I'd rather have a guy that can pitch 5 shutout innings on a limited pitch count than ones who can't get out of the first inning, or the 3rd inning. Or even make it to the 6th innng without putting us in a hole.
