Brantley singled. Stubbs sac bunt, they got him at first but Smokes dropped the ball.

Gomes worked a full count then hit the walk off homer over the left field wall.

Wow.

For every effort they gave...3 homers in three innings off of our normally stalwart bullpen, their shitty fielding gave it right back.

You are right about that, BARON! It might well have been the most fun-to-watch game I've ever attended! Beautiful summer-like weather, 15,000 attendance. I sat in the shade beneath the club seats for most of the game. It was HOT in the sun! After the 8th inning, I moved to the 3B side, so I had an excellent view of the trajectory of Gomes' game-winning blast.

Kazmir was not sharp at all. But Francona pulled him early. I believe Acta would have let him go, and rested the pen for the Tigers series. Often it seemed he conceded the last game of a series.
