Re: GameTime!™
8915I thought Rusty's question about Acta's job security was a little premature last night.
By "a little," I guess I meant less than 24 hours.
Something is up with this team tanking deep and late in multiple years after playing respectable ball in the first part of the season.....with largely the same talent in the tanking months.
With player history to go by, I think Acta severely over over used Derek Lowe when the team was playing well. He was also a little long for the hook on some starters in some of our losses.
I don't know exactly what Acta should have done to help Carlos Santana, but I would have thought he could have come up with something.
As to Mark Shapiro, I have been a Mark Shapiro detractor for years.....but I've been light on my negative comments about him in recent seasons.
If I were Dolan I'd definitely kick Shapiro and Acta to the curb immediately. It sure as heck wouldn't hurt anything......and it might help. Both Shapiro and Acta have a legacy of losing when at the helm.

Re: GameTime!™
8916Tonight was a seeming several nights in a row I had planned to catch The Tribe in the mid to late innings, but checked scores and saw us down by multiple runs early and lost immediate motivation.
I was teased into watching when I noted we were erasing the 6-1 deficit to Kansas City on Thursday, only to be around live and in person for the extra inning loss.
When The Cleveland Indians get hard to watch for someone who has been a blind lifelong Cleveland Indians Fan, it's time to start tomahawking the head of the snake.

8920Now a single scores him to make it 5-0.
Ubaldo is keeping up the tradition now. Starting pitchers dig so big a hole that our anemic offense can't overcome.
