This team has fortitude, and more than a couple guys playing for longer term jobs.

I'm not sure how fortitude comes about, but I read once that in has something to do with intestines, as in "intestinal fortitude" or something......

Nod to Rusty and KenM that our young guys we might be inclined to sign for longer later will remember this trip from sunshine and warmth, back to winds, sleet and snow.

True story, I made up my mind with resounding clarity to depart Ohio for awhile after two experiences of arriving back to snow and winter after having spent days in The Florida Warm Sunshine.

Once in December, and once in April.

1977, and 1978.

Mark Shapiro really needs to do more about the Cleveland weather......

I had tickets for today's game that I bought on the first day of single game purchase. Turns out that someone bought our house last month and now we're moving 3,000 miles, and then my sister-in-law chose this weekend for the birthday party of my now Ten Year Old niece who could have publicly celebrated her Birthday last weekend.

It was a weekday birthday, and I would have personally "rounded back".

I sold my tix at 60% of value on Saturday to a scalper I have bantered with for over a decade on the bridge from the BART train to the Stadium. Upon sale, I coached him on salient sale points of why the tix might be attractive to a spontaneous arriving pair of Cleveland Fans. He's taken care of me on many occasions, and I've taken care of him. Yesterday he still remembered my gifting of Game Day tix to see LeBron James back in year one or two of La Quitter.

My wife knew I sold the tix today and said, "if you had been at the game, they might have won." "You've been good luck."

"Yep."

I didn't mention that the three Gametime wines I would have bought her if attending would have offset more than my loss on the tickets.

No worries, My Man Hannihan will pick us up when we play our next game in Cleveland.

Hannihan grew up in Minnesota, and will have No Problem with Cleveland weather.
