I carved out a little time to follow today's game only to find out there is no TV and no Tribe broadcasters on MLB.TV.

6678I was getting ready to post that it's hard to follow spring training games with just opposing team audio and no box score from ESPN, but now I see the box score button on mlb.tv works.

6679Well, our pitchers have thrown strikes today.
And the Angels have tattooed them.
14-2 Angels, still batting in the 5th.

GOODYEAR, Ariz. -- Shelley Duncan visited with dad Dave, then drove in two runs to help the Cleveland Indians beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 3-2 on Monday.
Arizona starter Joe Saunders left after being hit on the side of the left shin by a line drive off the bat of Carlos Santana. The left-hander said he was taken out of the game as a precaution.
Duncan singled home Santana from second base with two outs in the first inning off Saunders' replacement Joe Martinez. Duncan later scored on Ryan Spilborghs' single and got an RBI in the fourth on a bases-loaded walk.
Jason Kubel and Willie Bloomquist drove in runs for Arizona.
Cleveland starter Ubaldo Jimenez allowed one run and three hits in three innings. [that sounds better]

6681We're going to be OK for the 2012 Season.
Our talent in Goodyear is being sifted with rooks needing to get a look.
We'll be playing .500 + ball most of the way, with a sniffing chance of at least making the one game playoff.

Yesterday's game against San Francisco was a "home game" for The Giants.
Derek Lowe threw four full innings for us according to the box score, yet did not have a plate appearance. Is there some agreement that AL pitchers are not batting in Spring Training in NL parks? I see other pitchers batted in other games yesterday.

6683Woo hoo!! We can win some spring training games.
If it's San Diego.
I mean, a San Diego split squad.
9-4, and it counts.
The "real time" box score is a real giggle, they had Canzler listed as having pitched 0 innings and giving up 1 run. I tuned in to the radio feed just too late to know whether that actually happened.
Listed Jimenez as going 4 innings and giving up 1 run. Didn't say which Jimenez, though.

6684• On Thursday, the Indians noted that pitcher Rick VandenHurk has requested to be referred to by his given name of Henricus. Cleveland claimed the pitcher off waivers from the Blue Jays on Wednesday. He is expected to be in camp with his new club on Friday.
(Well alrighty then........Henricus it is! I hope the announcers at Huntington Park can accommodate!)

6685On Thursday, Cleveland trimmed its roster by four players, including right-hander Zach McAllister. The Indians optioned McAllister -- initially billed as one of four candidates for the fifth starter job -- to Triple-A Columbus. The Tribe also optioned infielder Cord Phelps to Columbus on Thursday morning. Right-hander Chen-Chang Lee and outfielder Trevor Crowe were reassigned to Minor League camp as well, shaving the number of players in camp down to 46 with two weeks left until Opening Day.

6686GOODYEAR, Ariz. --
Center fielder Michael Brantley is optimistic that the right hamstring injury that has him sidelined will not persist to the point of him missing Opening Day for the Indians. "It's nothing serious," Brantley said on Thursday morning at the Tribe's player development complex. "I look forward to getting back out there very soon. It's something that's just a little minor bump in the road."
(Book it Dano!)

6687Another big fly for Duncan today. I hope he can save a few of those homers for the regular season.

Re: GameTime!™
6688Adam Dunn appears ready to put last season behind him. Two more round trippers today, a 2-run shot and a granny. On the spring: 4 homers, 1 double, 9 walks, 1 strikeout, .333 average, .384 obp, .875 slg, .906 ops. He's always been an on base machine. We might have another team to deal with besides Detroit if Dunn gets his act together.

Re: GameTime!™
6690Brantley's little injury was supposed to cost him a few days, right? Now of course he's confident he'll be ready in 10 more.
