Anyone going to Florida or Arizona this spring?
Some of us are considering having a forum reunion in Lakeland, FL, ST home of the Tigers. Since the Indians moved to AZ, many of our members don't want to travel that far. But Lakeland has a nice stadium, and fan-friendly set up for the minor leagues.
If you think you might go there or other ST sites, post here, and check for updates!
We can arrange to meet up for individual games, and/or plan mini-reunions.
SPRING TRAINING 2012!
5I will be in Sarasota the entire month of March, and plan to go to several games on the gulf coast, and in Lakeland. The only game I have a ticket for thus far is for the Red Sox in Ft. Meyers on March 6.
Please post here if you plan on going to FL, and/or are going to any games.

9Cleveland adds Carolina exhibition game
Monday, 16 January 2012 16:53
The exhibition schedule for the Cleveland Indians is now a game longer, as the team added an April 3 exhibition game against its newest Carolina League affiliate, the Carolina Mudcats.
The Carolina Mudcats are shifting to the High Class A Carolina League this season; previous a team played under that name in the Class AA Southern League. (For those keeping score at home, the Double-A team moved to Pensacola for the 2012 season.) The Carolina League team formerly played in Kinston.
The game is slated for 2 p.m. ET on April 3 at Five County Stadium in Zebulon, N.C. With under 2,000 residents, Zebulon is the smallest town to host Class A or better; the team relies on fans from Wake County and nearby Raleigh for support.
"We are pleased to not only welcome the Indians but to also go ahead and extend our partnership," Carolina Mudcats owner Steve Bryant said in a press release. "Cleveland has fielded championship-caliber clubs at the Class A Advanced level and we are excited to begin working with the Indians. We also look forward to the Indians' visit to Wake County and introducing their players, coaches and staff to our fans."

11Here is the requisite "Equipment Truck" album for this year.

I have to wonder if they recycled most of the pics from last year. I remember comments about the logic, or lack thereof, of shipping bottled water.

12Goodyear is supposed to be a year-round facility. Why ship a whole bunch of stuff to Cleveland then turn around and ship it to Goodyear? All that stuff should already be there.

14Man we sure all had some fun in WH for a few years didn't we folks? AZ just isn't the same and my dad although healthy, at 89 just isn't up to the trip anymore....

15You're right, Frank. I live in Arizona and Winter Haven was better. Glad to hear Bill is doing fine.
