Not quite how I dreamed up this game to turn out, but it was exciting, it was a winner!

Gotta be honest, the Royals have to be really dismayed to lose this one. Great pitching job by Paulino and the offense hit the ball hard tonight with nothing to show for it. Those last two innings were heartstoppers. Six well struck baseballs by Royal batters.

Maybe the worm is about to turn. Choo eased into the lineup tonight which bodes well for tomorrow. Gotta get some batters back into this lineup.

At least I got to watch the whole game...hopefully by tomorrows game I'll have power and connectivity. Looking to be an Ugly one Irene is. Thus far we're only getting gusts to about 30MPH and the power has only flickered a couple times....gonna be the worst at about 3-9 AM tomorrow....at least here in Jacksonville, NC.

Woulda been nice to see Thome blast one...but I have no doubts he will. Hopefully just his presence in the locker room can be a big plus and we can get back into the swing of things (pun intended)

Thanks HB!!!

Got a buddy of mine and his friend and her two kids holed up in his house. Standard Hurricane supplies. 5 days worth of water, 10 days worth of beer (which will probably be gone by Sunday), and a box of wine...and some food. Guns and Looter Pills (we are Marines) and enough batteries and stuff like that...TP...lots of dog food.

I just hope for us its not as bad as can be with a high end Cat II. But I'm more worried about up North where they aren't used to getting storms of this kind of magnitude.
