3-1 Mariners going to the ninth.

9392And the beat goes on
Indians lose 8th straight, and fall for the 18th time in last 19 road games...3-1 Seattle is the final.

9394Manny has to be coming back to clean out his locker.
Washington woke up. Look where they are now.

9395Quite a large disparity in personnel from pitching to bench players to everyday lineup.Washington woke up. Look where they are now.
I'll take an even trade between Washington's owner and front office team vs ours right now.

9397Yes, but what REALLY accomplished that was several years of "Suck for Luck"-ing. It's hard to imagine that the Tribe would have blown those picks.
...
Actually it's not. "We didn't draft them because we didn't think we could sign them. We didn't want to get Lincecum'd again."

Re: GameTime!™
9398I'm still on Acta's side. I really don't think he's the problem. With this roster and the hands he's been dealt, Acta could take this team to Columbus and would probably be hard pressed to win a Triple A title.

Re: GameTime!™
9399I agree. Acta is not the problem. He's also not the solution. Therefore he's expendable.
Heads have to roll.
No team can be this bad and everybody keeps their jobs.

9401This pretty much sums it up in a nutshell and I'm sure this statement could be applied to other coaching and playing staff as well.seagull wrote:I agree. Acta is not the problem. He's also not the solution. Therefore he's expendable.
At the start of the season I thought this team was still a .500 ballclub. Instead it has an outside shot of losing 100.
You'd have to think they will blow it up at the end of the season. I don't know how anyone associated with the Indians could sit there with a straight face and think they have a hope in hell of contending next year.
Re: GameTime!™
9402I hope we find a way to rally and finish 3rd, and wreck some other playoff contender post season hopes along the way.
It's a goal.

Predictably the dolanites come out in full force to deflect.
Re: GameTime!™
9405No word on any press conference to announce the firing of Acta, as some were predicting or hoping.
