Shapiro may have been the problem in the past but now he's marginalized and just worries about hot dog prices and snow days.

Problem is the structure he left behind in the Front Office could take years to fix.

Thank you. Nice to know that you are now a believer that Mark Shapiro is a waste of Dolan's money.
Once again you jump to conclusions without any actual posts. I am just tired of you being a weeny and talking about his education. You have no idea how Shapiro would do with a 100 million dollar payroll. There are many teams that would be willing to find out if he leaves the Indians.

This team has hit a new low. Some heads have to start rolling. Personally I would leave Shapiro alone, start with Antonetti and the scouting staff.

Its bad enough that we are in this horrible tailspin but I can assure everyone here that a nice winning streak, as unlikely as it is, would calm us all.

Dunno about you but I'm perfectly calm. I'm doing great at my job, it's the Indians that's sucking at theirs...

HB- I am calm at work also but late last night when WHobaldo started throwing balls everywhere but the catcher's mitt my soft but insistent cursing did wake my wife up twice.

She was a loyal fan but said "why bother" before going back to sleep.

Pretty depressing, I must admit.

I've actually taken this losing streak pretty well. At least they played pretty well until football practices started. Now I can look forward to a great Browns seaso .... well ... I can look forward to a Buckeyes national championsh .... It's almost deer season...

I am also very calm. Never get too excited about millionaires playing baseball. Now millionaires playing golf is a whole another thing.

Lou, the bottom line is that Shapiro is one of the most well thought of GM's in the business. That is not support that is a fact. There are at least 5 or more current GM's that started in the business working for Shapiro. He has no concern about his employment future.

WARNING: If you are not the calm type, perhaps you should skip this post

What does that mean about Shapiro, exactly? That he can afford to royally screw up now, and know that it doesn't affect his employment prospects?

Shapiro sucks, Dolan sucks, Antonetti sucks, the whole front office sucks, Acta sucks, all the coaches suck, all our pitchers suck....except for Perez but he just can't keep his suck shut, all our hitters suck....we got a couple good infielders.....our farm system sucks, parking at the stadium sucks, beer prices suck....the mustard at the stadium is good.

There, now back to watching shitty baseball till football season starts.

On the WTAM feed they are talking about Grady Sizemore's knee is acting up and will be a couple more weeks till he would be able to play.....effectively his season is over.

DUH!!!! I wonder if they are going to pay him next year to do nothing to.....of course if they don't he's going to go to another team and be the league MVP.

At least we made it to the 3rd and aren't losing yet.
