The corollary is change something...anything if you're on a bad streak.

Chris Perez shaved.
You are absolutely correct, though I seem to recall Crash Craddock telling Nuke Laloosh to never eff with a winning streak.

After 5 full, 2-2 tie; Lillibridge with both RBI.

Brantley SF makes it 3-2 ...

Tribe manufactures a run, with Marson bringing in Lillibridge on a squeeze for a 4-2 lead.

Look, not because we have been winning, but since the firing, Acta has been pulling pitchers sooner and using the bunt more. Maybe Radinsky was advising to let pitchers go too long or maybe Acta was awakened by the firing, whatever I am liking this style of play more. Keep it up!

Wow, have never heard of a pitching coach telling the manager when to pull a pitcher. I would go with someone told Acta to wake up and start managing.

It's only August 11 and there are still 48 games to play.

We're nine out, but a well timed 8-2 run or so could get us back to within five or six while still in August.

Nine out tonight, which is still better at this point than most of my "non John Hart era" seasons of Cleveland Indians Fandom.

There may be a fat lady on the way, but thus far she is not in the building.

Let's get to within 8 tomorrow.

I give most of the credit to Cody Allen and Esmil Rogers, and to some extent Sipp, who has been much better lately. For a while there, it seemed like every time we removed a starter when we were down 1 or 2 runs, before long we'd be behind 4 or 5 runs, so Acta maybe hung in there too long. The obvious weak links in the pen aren't there any more.

Bullpenners not quite as effective today. Since all will soon be working in Columbus, I've posted game update in Minor Matters. Top of the fifth ends with the Sox holding a 14-1 advantage although 3 soon-to-be-ex-hurlers have limited them to a single homerun.

We're up 3-0 in the mid-innings from the West Coast.

Win tonight and we are within single digits of the Division lead. We can still go on a Colorado Rocky like march in the next 45 games.

Keep it single digit until mid-September and 6 of our last 9 games are against the Chisux, with 6 against KC sandwiched around those 9.

Tonight's game is a different story!
We are winning, 3-0, end of 6.
Masterson is masterful tonight!

Pestano uncharacteristically gives up a two run dinger in his 8th to let the Angels get it to within one.

3-2

He better get this next guy, or his tix for Disneyland down the street from the stadium tomorrow are cancelled.

Maybe Pestano just wants Perez to have a little Pressure........
