Unbelievable

Not often a fan gets to see 8 runs scored in the 10th inning of a game......

What if the brain trust proved they were serious by dumping that bozo Perez? I was sleeping I hoped he did something really babyish after the game like throwing the water cooler or punching the wall #Dolanites are happy

And since I'm sure they aren't going to place any higher than 4th...we have another offseason of shit for shinola trading, crap ass draft, and probably even worse attendance at the Stadium next spring than this year.

Hoynes' game story begins:

DETROIT, Mich. -- They may never win again. Really.

And I thought that Tomlin keeping the Tigers from scoring in the 9th could be a potential "turn around" moment, which was then reinforced by the offensive burst in the 10th.

No Acta didnt lose it. Perez and the rest of his mates lost it but the real bozos are the brain trust-How can you go into a season with that lineup and that pitching staff?-and most importantly an undercapitilized owner who has no business owning a major league professional sports team-What a joke he is compared to the other owners in Cleveland-but who is laughing at you Dolanites all the way to the bank.

Ken, acting like a jackass as usual. Go in your room and cry little baby. Managers are allowed to pull their star closers when they suck.

Rusty is the last of the original dolanites. The reflexive dolan is good makes me wonder what the angle is.

That was really a breathtakingly amazing job by Perez. With a three run cusion he gets two quick outs. Walks two nonentities. Just as effectively as Acta took the bat out of Cabrera and Fielder's hands in the 9th, Perez set up Cabrera perfectly for the winner. Hard to imagine a worse job of closing out a ballgame.

We still have about 16 of these things to play before our next off day.

Let's take them one game at a time.....

I was in personal attendance for three games of the Oakland A's now famous Moneyball streak.

Let's string together a few wins and see how our competition does. We could be back within shot with a good week, and some luck.

(if we fire Shapiro, we'll have better luck)

Simple angle. I do not like you. Keep whining as usual. Try adding something new or useful.

From the Detroit perspective, it was "Magic" that won them the game. We might beg to differ:

Free Press story:

Magic.

Maybe that was the only fitting word for what the Tigers did Sunday at Comerica Park. They were down to their last out in the 10th inning and scored five runs to beat the Cleveland Indians, 10-8. Miguel Cabrera capped the rally with his two-run walk-off home run.

“I don’t know how you would explain how that is other than magic right there,” said catcher Alex Avila, who started the comeback with a two-out walk. “It’s baseball. It’s a crazy, crazy game.”

Chris Perez with a different take, that will draw more Forum agreement:

Cleveland reliever Chris Perez made it known to his Twitter followers Sunday how much he let the team down after giving up five runs to the Tigers in the 10th inning en route to a 10-8 loss.

He inherited an 8-5 lead in the bottom of the 10th. After recording the first two outs, he gave up two walks, a double, a single and a two-run home run to blow his third save of the year.

Perez first tweeted: “There aren’t enough words in the dictionary to describe how much I sucked today. Go ahead Cleveland, give it to me...”

Then, he said: “Definitely the low point of my professional career. Only thing I can do is work harder tomorrow and get better. #NeverGiveIn”

Perez entered the game 7-for-7 in save chances against the Tigers this season.
