Antonetti says there may be a roster move in the next 24 hours.

Might be Kipnis for Phelps.

That would make sense. Phelps has looked pretty bad at second.

I'm OK with Ocker, who I read most often.

Then again it could be a call up of a RP since the bullpen has got a lot of use.

Is Carmona scheduled to start one of the games vs the EE? If so, it might be his swan song in the rotation. I don't see how they can wait past then to reach into the minors.

Acta and the FO thought that Carmona's last start was decent.

Compared to his worst , yes.
Competent for a pennant contender, no.

Think the Indians will be interested in Cameron after he was DFA today ?
Red Sox designated OF Mike Cameron for assignment.
Assuming they don't find a trade partner, the Red Sox will be responsible for the remainder of $7.25 million salary for this season. While Cameron didn't live up to his contract in Boston, he shouldn't have any problem finding work once he's available at the league minimum. His departure is good news for Josh Reddick, who should have an increased role moving forward.

Indians released INF Adam Everett.
Everett was designated for assignment by the Indians earlier this week. The 34-year-old is batting just .217/.277.233 over 67 plate appearances this season. He is reportedly considering retirement.

No innings today. 2 innings yesterday. I think they'll be fine. Herrmann hasn't worked for awhile.
They could release Durbin and bring up Judy or Putnam; that would be good idea.

Somebody said it would be CC vs Carrasco but would it not be Tomlin's turn?

Matt LaPorta (ankle) is no longer planning to join the Indians this weekend for batting practice.
LaPorta was scheduled to meet up with the Tribe on Friday in Cincinnati to participate in team workouts, but he's still feeling discomfort in his sprained right ankle. The first baseman will try again Monday, when the Indians return home. He is aiming to return around the All-Star break.

Loufla- I think you are correct about the pitching matchup.
