Hernandez is allowed back August 11. (He's not quite ready, 5 runs on 9 hits in AAA last night). If there are any off days between now and then perhaps they can bypass Lowe or at worst he gets one more start. Then dump him.

Hard to believe they will eat his contract. They are still munching on Wheeler and Sizemore's contracts.
They are paying very little of Lowe's actual contract.

Braves trade Derek Lowe to Indians
Updated: October 31, 2011, 6:20 PM ET
ESPN.com news services
Derek Lowe's durability -- and price tag -- were too much for the Cleveland Indians to resist.
The club acquired the 15-year veteran pitcher from the Atlanta Braves on Monday for a minor leaguer, a low-risk move designed to bolster Cleveland's starting rotation.
The Indians got the 38-year-old Lowe, who has 166 career wins, in exchange for left-hander Chris Jones. As part of the deal, the Indians will only have to pay Lowe $5 million of the $15 million he's scheduled to make in 2012. Lowe signed a four-year $60 million deal as a free agent with Atlanta before the 2009 season.

Shuffling is going on. Tomlin has been sent to the bullpen.

Lowe's name has to be on the waiver wire this morning. I doubt anybody bites but you never know. There may be another sucker out there.
Ditto for Johnny "washed up three years ago" Damon.

If I am GM, so is Travis Hafner.

Lowe can be replaced by a used resin bag. Very used. Why do we keep wasting millions on junk?
Josh Tomlin likes tobacco better than baseball. I'd like to see him swallow some of that crap.
Damon was a mistake from the get go.
Is Hafner's time up? It must be. Please.
Manny Acta is a loser. So is Antonelli and Dolan.
We have about 7-8 ballplayers. Did I once say we stunk?
Well, we do. Stick a fork in the 2012 Indians. To the rescue, Larson and Lillibridge. The two added together = .o.

I see Travis is not in the lineup today against a RH. He doesn't appear to have been released, yet. Is he hurt, again?

2 first inning Royals runs without the luxury of an RBI. We only lead KC by 7 1/2 games. And we are sinking fast.

KC strikes for 2 first inning runs...throwing error by Santana opens door.
