No posts here again tonight. Guess everyone is watching the olympics? You aren't missing much. We're on our way to another loss

I was happy to see that The Twins scored a run in their last at bat.
At least we weren't defeated by a team plating 11 runs two nights in a row........
The sun will come out tomorrow.
(I won't bet on it though. Not even a dollar.)

I wonder if any team asked about Jiminez. I would trade him in a minute.

Also Derek Lowe.

It's just painful. You would think beating Verlander would give the team some kind of boost....but NOOO. We look worse than we have all year. I don't think there is anyone out there that (even if we could trade for) will help this team.

From my Football betting days I know that winning big emotional game at home and then going on the road means you are flat to lethargic the next game. So my hindsight bet is: take the Twins and the points.

After the Detroit series, I thought they might be buyers at the deadline.
Reality slaps us in the face with the twinkie series.
No doubt we will be sellers.

If we sell, we hold chips worth much in today's market. I just have a tough time trusting our front office guys as being the best at trade deadline poker.
If we don't sell, and tinker and add a piece, I'll likely be supportive. We're still in the race, and I don't see no fat woman.

On a bright note for me, I was longing for watching horse racing in either Saratoga or Del Mar today. I've been to both, and always desire to go again at this time of the year.
I split the difference and went to the off track betting place between Loufla's place and my current domicile for about one hour. I made fast friends with a guy at the bar who transferred down here with his wife from Saratoga NY. We shared drinks, and he knew his horses and horse gambling.
I missed two races bad at Saratoga, and then loaded up on the 3rd. It clicked. Then I glanced at the dog racing screen from Palm Beach Kennel Club and touted to all that the 1-8 was going to click in the 12th matinee.
"You can't win playing dogs" was the general response.
The 1-8 clicked, for $362, and I made a fun gambling profit on the day and took my wife and daughter and her boyfriend to a Sushi restaurant Loufla had touted.
He was right about the hostess........
I wish I could bestow my luck on The Cleveland Indians.

Too bad!
I hate to be sellers.
These guys in the front office have no clue on how to judge talent. We've seen this scenario over and over the past 10 years. This will make the 5th rebuild in the last 10 years. That has got to be some kind of record.
We've walked out on free agents, one that could have been a franchise player for less than 10 million a year.
We have a front office with no clue and an owner that runs a pawn shop.
Frustrating to say the least.
