Free-agent 1B Carlos Santana has officially declined the Indians' one-year, $17.4-million Qualifying Offer. Doesn't end talks between the sides. Just helps Cleveland net a Draft pick in the event that he signs with a new team.

2 pitchers in the top 4 for CY; 3 players in top 7 for MVP; No. 2 manager. Once again, pretty obvious why this team won the World Series in 2017.

Recognition of individuals in teams sports is good for the players' pocketbook and fantasy leagues.
Other than that........

Corey Kluber is one of the most underpaid superstars in baseball. 2 Cy Youngs in his pocket, and how many starting pitchers in baseball are earning more than him??

All these baseball contracts nowadays have bonus clauses for MVP, CY, ROY etc. I don't think they have to win...just finish high in the voting

Oh, you hang with José now? I saw Julian Tavares at the ballpark in the Corner Bar at the Game 5 playoff v. the Skankees.
