I like to see Acta manipulating the lineup based on player performance. Choo was not successful in the middle of the lineup and Brantly wasn't on base enough to hit leadoff. So let's how Choo does at the top and Brantley at 6 or 7. He tried Damon leading off, didn't work, so he's down around 7. I prefer Acta's open mind to the lineup than constantly repeating the same thing that isn't working.

Underwood's call on that homer misled me a bit ... "Deep into the night" must have meant "way up in the dark sky" because the thing didn't clear the OF fence by terribly much!

VT'r- It was a moon shot very high and hung up a real long time even though, as you say, it was not deep. An impressive stroke nevertheless.

But I had visions of another visit to Pronkville! ... Hmm I should go back and find Hammy's call of it. Or was it Rosie at the mike for that one?

Seattle announcers today say Pronk's HR had 6.8 sec hang time. That is long.

Pitcher with road ERA of just under 9 holds Tribe scoreless through 3. McAllister trailing 1-0 when he got briefly wild and walked a pair one of whom scored without a hit.

Bases loaded in the 4th but Lopez grounds out to pitcher. Why did we want him rather than Donald? Offense over defense?

And we leave the bases loaded in the 4th with a guy at bat(Lopez) who has a lot of good ABs with the bases loaded.

McAllister walks two again in the 5th/ 2 on 1 out for top of the order.

Seattle scores another without benefit of a base hit 2-0 bottom of the 5th.

4-0 Seattle going to the 7th, Mcallister pitched well but walked too many

Lopez error sets up 2nd Seattle run which scores on passed ball.

2 more in the 6th off McA and Ascencio. Tribe still hasn't managed anything.

This is a pretty lousy game: no hit, no field, no pitch.

Cabrera drives in Tribe's first run. Hafner now bats as tying run with 2 out in the 7th.

Fly out to center; my phone doesn't tell me if it was a "can of corn" or a drive to the wall. 4-1 after 7.
