Labor talks between Major League Baseball and the Players Association have reportedly included a plan in which one National League team would move to the American League, to make it two 15-team leagues, and there would be no divisions. The top five teams in each of the two 15-team leagues would qualify for the playoffs.

I think the Indians best chance for the postseason would be winning the division, though today they would qualify under such a proposed system.

That idea would also add another round to the playoffs.

They are getting closer to when it wouldn't be very time inappropriate to have Santa throwing out the first pitch of the World Series.
