We end the game with only 4 of the 9 starters hitting under 200. My favorite offensive force is Kotchum, whose batting average, on base pct and slugging average are all 095.

I can see that, but it wasn't a "take one for the team" situation when he came in.

It was a very strange decision by Acta. No game yesterday, no game tomorrow, and he goes with the last man in the pen trailing by just one run? Unless you're out of bodies, there's no reason Wheeler should ever be in a close game.

I agree with you on that Charlie.

Pen must be hurting. Why did Gomez pitch 2 innings?

Skipped his start and he hasn't worked since they left Arizona.

I think they could have started Gomez today then hit KC with Masterson, Lowe, and Ubaldo.

Todays weather made it difficult for Masterson to throw the sinker as well as usual.

Great observation. Felt the same especially with a temperature of 45 with a wind chill of about 35.

Nice.

I tune in to catch Asdrubal's 9th inning home run, and our first runs since the 1st.

Things you learn listening to the opponent's announcers.

Vinnie Pestano has been a Royals fan since childhood. He lived in KC for awhile as a kid, and KC is the original home of Vinnie's mother.

We win.

Good time to note that if Chris Perez had not big time blown the save on Opening Day we would now be a .500 club.

I miss todays game and our bats come alive. Should I miss tomorrows.

Not that there is anything wrong with superstition.

Could be the "Damon Effect" lit some focus fires under guys in our current starting lineup.
