I hope Duncan doesn't swing from his heels. Ump calls a strike on a very low pitch.

Infield out, fielder's choice on a nice play.
Kotchman is now the tying run at the plate.

Kotchman apparently wasn't watching the batters in front of him.....
7-4 extra inning loss
Again.

Kotchman is terrific in the field has saved us at least 2 or 3 runners so far in the series but he has a pollyanna swing. He cannot be as bad at the plate as he has shown so far.

No manager should have allowed circumstances for a relief pitcher to rack up that kind of a performance line after inheriting a tie game
Problem was Sipp's pitching. His job is to retire the hitters. He didn't. All Acta had left was Wheeler-- and Ascensio who worked well beyond his capacity 2 days ago.

Lou:
I saw Kotchman play a game for the Angels very early in his career, must have been around '05 or so, and his glove impressed me so much that I remember posting in our old "Bold Predictions" folder that when Texeira doesn't win the AL 1B gold glove that Kotchman would be the guy to take it from him.
My prediction ended up being wrong, there has been 2 or 3 guys who have won the AL GG at 1B since then not named Texeira or Kotchman, but you could see early on in Kotchman's career that he was slick with the glove at 1st.

At least Ubaldo looked better than he has looked in a long time.

Ubaldo looked locked and loaded and on a mission.
Mark Shapiro needs to teach these players he has accumulated, to hit.
As I look at my California clock, he has less than 9 hours.

Definetly good solid performances from our #1 and #2 starters. Lets hope Lowe can keep the trend going and somehow our bats wake up.
