Rays were down 7-0 in the 8th.
Imagine the Bosox watching this during the rain delay in Baltimore!

Gotta close this one out. I'll catch the rest of these two games from home.

Has any team ever used 11 pitchers in a 9-inning game before? This game is nuts.

I know you sort of like the Red Sox, J.R.. I understand. You lived in MA.
I liked the Red Sox quite a bit prior to 1999, as well.
I also know Tampa Steve likes The Rays.
Tampa Steve is from my hometown, and I really have no reason yet to dislike Tampa.
Scissors, paper, stone.
I DO hate the Yankees and all that is Michigan.

I'd rather see the Bosox win, b/c I prefer watching games from Fenway than from the dump called the Trop.

Yep, the Tampa stadium is not worthy of being mentioned in the same sentence as Fenway.

Bottom of the 10th coming up in Tampa.
Baltimore has 2 on and 2 out in their 7th, trailing the Red Sox by one.
Braves in extra innings, needing a win.
This could not have been better scripted....

Wow, Scutaro did not scoot fast enough and he is out at home!
What baseball!

Of course Scutaro is a Cleveland tied product, so
Charlie's themed "team essential nature" opinion gets a possible boost.

It's going on midnight back east on the day of game 162.
And four teams still have uncertain playoff hopes on the line.
Amazing.

That's never applied to ex-Indians. It's not the same as the "ex-Cubs factor" that Mike Royko wrote about, which stated that the team with the most former Cubs on it always loses. Ex-Indians always prosper away from here and win rings. Roger Maris. Graig Nettles. Joe Carter. Manny Ramirez. Thome has been the exception.
