It does appear Acta is managing a little differently now that there's no more race. Certainly, Zach Putnam wouldn't have been in there in the late innings to lose a game if we were still in contention.

I wasn't opposed to the Durbin signing when it was made--he had been pretty good these last few years with the Phillies. But for whatever reason, the Indians have had little luck with these middle relief free agents with a semi-high profile (Dennis Cook, Scott Kamieniecki, scott Sauerbeck, Guillermo Mota, and now Durbin).
