Josh goes deep for the third night in a row to make it a 7-1 ball game.

Joe Martinez struck out 13 over seven innings as Columbus moved within a victory of repeating as International League champions.

How many games in the last month have the Indians scored 1 run ? Is this Acta's small ball ? Undisciplined running, terrible defense, no offense yet he is still a good manager. Really ? Guess if you liked him to start then fans will overlook anything.

I`m not Acta's biggest fan, but most of what is written here is better explained by an overall lack of talent rather than anything Acta did/did not do.
I really hope Antonetti has a plan in place to shake things up a bit this winter.

I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree Rusty.
Couldn't agree more with TDU!
My point is Manny Acta got the best from the talent he had to deal with. One of the goals this season was to be aggressive. I have nothing against aggressiveness. I've seen too much of the complacency the Wedge era brought us.
I'm OK with the way this season played out. It was a fun year overall. Detroit got hot and stayed hot while we continued to lose many close ballgames coupled with a few blowouts against some very good hitting clubs in Detroit and Texas. It is what it is.

Good post JOEZ.
What Acta proved is that he could Manage the Cleveland Clippers as well as possible.

For the moment, at least, we have the curious situation in which the second-place Chisox have been eliminated but the third-place Indians have not.

IronPigs batting in the 8th. Columbus leads that game 3-1. Paolo Espino with 7 innings in the books, four hits, one run, five strikeouts, and one walk. Another fine performance by the Clipper's starters. Lee on in relief in the 8th.

Two runs in for the Twins on Sizemore's error. End of 5 it's a 5-2 ballgame. Both runs are unearned.

Bases looaded, wild pitch, gets Reyes home in the 9th. Columbus 4-1 lead with two out.
