I'm here with DONNA and DENVER LOU now.
Donna says hi, and she reads you on Facebook but doesn't post.
Lou wants to know where his helicopter is??

Denver Lou, our man on the scene!
If he gives us a sterling report from the ball park tonight I might check into that helicopter again.
Tell them both I say, hey!

We didn't go to the game, just visited with Donna and Sonny in Ashland this afternoon.
We were trying to figure out what year our first reunion was. I remember you and LP organized it, and we met at Canal Park. I'm thinking it was '99?

I think you are right. Our first get together was '99 in Canal Park. Then we got together the following year in Jacobs Field, 2000, which was Manny's final year. Cause I wore that t-shirt BurbaFan made me, about signing Manny.

Good times.....trying to figure out a way next year to get to Goodyear with my folks (who live in Laughlin) and the fam.

When I was trying to think if anyone on the Indians "should have been" an All-Star the only guy who I think could justifiably have been chosen is Allen-- nearly perfect for two months. But there are a lot of relievers who share good numbers . And two of the them pitch for the AL manager.

Cody Anderson is the first pitcher in MLB history to throw at least 6 2/3 innings in first 4 career starts, allowing 1 run or fewer in each.
.
BTW, that is since records started being kept in 1914.

I guess Tito saw him looking a little stiff and that's why he pulled him, but Anderson wasn't up to 80 pitches when he departed. Not just has he kept runs from scoring, he's kept men off base and kept his pitch count down. Unlike our 10K a game starters he can work 8 or 9 innings on 100 or so pitches. Now that we have 5 solid starters rather than "merely" four, we'll have even less excuse to miss the playoffs.

Indians attendance was off to the best start in years! But it hasn't been that pretty the last two months.

Gutted by word the News-Herald has laid off Bob Finnan and Jim Ingraham. Two fantastic people and journalists. Terrible losses for business.
