I love stats; my first interest in the Indians came from discovering standings and then being totally intrigued by box scores. I know that strikeout pitchers and groudn ball pitchers have varying preferences for day and night ball, but I forget which; Bill James used to explain it all

It is helpful that runs can score after outs as well as after hits. It increases our chances dramatically.

Santana singled in go-ahead run in the 7th, Choo thrown out trying for 3rd, so we score another run with an associated out. But we are now ahead and Masterson still in there; it must be feeling like a night game for Justin in the late innings, he's doing well.

That out at 3rd was only about 1 second after run scored, almost had it negated,right?

Civ- Well of course Masterson is pitching better as the brightness fades!
