@tpaquette_IID:
Indians 1B prospect @b_bradley_44 is 6th in all of @MiLB w/ his 24 HR's despite missing almost a month of the season w/ a strained oblique.

Well Bradley still has some work to. Hope he can cut down on the K's or else we may have another Branyan on our hands. But his performance of late is encouraging, and he's still very young so he has time.

I couldn't recall how many bombs Branyan hit when he was in Low A and I know he led the league by a wide margin, so I looked it up. He hit 40! Bradley won't come close to that unless he keeps up at his one-a-day pace. He draws walks, but so did Russell. He fans a ton and so did Russell. Here are the statistical comparisons:
Russell age 19 on Dec before his year in Columbus 482-102-129-106 20 2b--4 3b--40 hr 256/326/534/860 62bb/166k
Bradley age 19 in May of his year with Lake County 341--54--87--80 11 2b--3 3b--24 hr 255/340/516/856 43bb/128k
Branyan's K rate was 30.5% and K/BB 2.67
Bradley's K rate is 33.3% and K/BB 2.98 which means Bradley's whiffs make Branyan's look modest
Throw in Bradley as a bad-fielding 1B and the comparison should temper the excitement. He's a classic "one tool" player, but a pretty exciting one tool.

Bradley missed a month with the oblique strain too. Just doing quick math looks like Branyan hit a homer every 12 at bats, Bradley one every 14. Branyan struck out 3 times every 10 at bats. Bradley 3 out of every 9. Same age. Don't think I'm far off on the comparison at this point in their careers.

And while we're on the subject:
Want to take a wild guess who hit a two run homer for the only Lake County runs today? Also singled and walked and didn't strike out even once.

Not quite as exciting but Naquin's off the DL and playing for Columbus today. He's hitting 252 in AAA. Could get a look in September I suppose but no rush

Finished up in Akron at 3.51 ERA 1.15 WHIP 89K in 141 IP.

Zimmer 2-2, both singles, and 2 walks today.
@tpaquette_IID: #RubberDucks OF Bradley Zimmer @Bzimmer5 over his last 11 games:

@tpaquette_IID: #RubberDucks RHP Adam Plutko with a tremendous outing today vs the Sea Dogs.
- 7(IP) 4H 1R 1ER 2BB 7SO (96 Pitches 66 Strikes) #Indians
@tpaquette_IID: 1B prospect Bobby Bradley has the most HR's by an #Indians minor league player (25) since Jared Goedert had (27) back in 2010. @b_bradley_44
@tpaquette_IID: #RubberDucks RHP Jeff Johnson has not allowed an Earned Run over his last 20.0 Innings.

Another one of those comparisons that doesn't necessarily increase our enthusiasm:
"Bradley has the most HR's by an #Indians minor league player (25) since Jared Goedert "

Adam Plutko with a tremendous outing today - 7(IP) 4H 1R 1ER 2BB 7SO (96 Pitches 66 Strikes
He just keeps on putting up a solid performances. The projections are that he's a back of the rotation starter since he doesn't throw it as hard as a Carrasco or a Salazar. But he'll be tested in Cleveland by the end of 2016 it appears
