not too interested in Ordomar, but Allen and Mejia, our two speedster CFs both had great nights.
First, here's BA report but neither of those kids was on the preseason Top 30 so not included:
CLE AA Moncrief, Carlos RF 4 1 2 1 .292 2B (3), SB (2) [whoopee, he can hit AA pitchers]
CLE AAA Aguilar, Jesus DH 3 0 2 2 .262 BB (23)
CLE AAA Gonzalez, Erik SS 4 1 1 1 .258 HR (1)
CLE MAJ Lindor, Francisco SS 4 1 1 1 .195 2B (2)
CLE AAA Armstrong, Shawn 0.1 1 0 0 0 0 2.43
CLE LoA Sheffield, Justus 5 2 1 1 2 6 4.23 W (7-2) [he's good!]

Here are all the box scores:
http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.js ... d=20150708
Some other noteworthy lines:
Morimando 6 2/3--7--3--3--1--4 3.48
Santander single, 2 rbi, 356 in Lake County
Tom single, 2 walks; Mathias 3 hits [190 avg], Chu double, triple [200 avg] for Mahoning Valley
Gabriel Mejia with a pretty good night for a leadoff hitter:
2 single, 3 walks, 4 steals, also caught stealing third. For the few weeks of play he's 16/18 in steal attemtps. 417 avg, 491 on base pct, 479 slugging with one double and one triple, but I always think the steals should be factored into the "total bases"
Also in Arizona: Pantoja single, double: 354. D. Jiminez 5-3-3-3-3-6

Lots of morning baseball games today in the minors. Akron's already in the 9th inning.
Mike Clevinger 7 2/3--4--3--3---1--3 2.72 W [if Jeff Johnson holds a 1=run lead]
Now that Anderson is in the majors, the only starting pitchers who should rank about our top dozen prospects -- or perhaps even top 20 -- [at least before this year's draft class is included] should be Sheffield, Plutko and Clevinger.

Scrappers are ahead by 3 in the 8th. One hit each for Tom, Mathias, Chu and Castro, all of whom may be prospects.
Nice start for Casey Shane, who's in the next group of pitchers, young, possible, long way to go, including Sean Brady, Sam Hentges and if he happens to get healthy and able to pitch maybe Grant Hockin
Shane: 5 1/3 2 1 1 -0 5

Dace Kime wants to stay in the discussion, too, is having a good day game for Lynchburg: 5-3-0-0-0-5 game still going on. He and Lugo and Merritt and Morimando and MBrown are all contenders who are not having great seasons.
Meanwhile typical day at the office for Zimmer: single and double; Nellie Rod ditto; Papi double and 2nd and 3rd steals of the year -- he's trying to solidify his place on this week's Hot Prospect List. Lynchburg has another game coming up after this one today.

Crappy relief pitching by Billy Strode and Scrappers are now deadlocked in extra innings. Mathias has a 2nd hit. Ka"ai Tom 2 more: currently hitting 292 with more walks than strikeouts and not much power.

Clevenger got his win to go to 6-4. Jeff Johnson's 13th save; ERA 1.38
Lynchburg managed to lose their opener on 3 runs in the 7th. Kime put 2 on, Ben Heller relieved, let those 2 and one of his own score.
Frazier takes game 2 off and Levon Washington gets a start in Left, LRod goes in Center, and Papi gets a game in RF

I seem to remember Chu having a big day at the plate or a game winning hit in the last day or two on Twitter, too.

Zimmer walks, steals his 31st base and Papi drives him in.

Found this item I posted 4 years ago:
Kevin Goldstein of Baseball Prospectus has also recently released his Top 100 listing, and the same four players appear in his listing just in a different order: Kipnis (No. 28), Chisenhall (No. 40), Pomeranz (No. 43), and White (No. 71).
Brad Zimmer is now rated No. 20 or 23 depending on the source. If he winds up a little better than Kipnis and twice as good as Chisenhall that should be a successful career

#Hillcats OF @ClintFrazierr has reached base now in 15 straight games:
15-54 14R 5(2B) 1HR 5RBI 12BB .278 AVG .412 OBP #Indians
.
So during a 15 game hot streak Frazier can still only manage a .278 average. I dunno, just don't have high hopes for this guy.
But for some reason I still like this guy.
