Head, JRod and Huffman are the only OFs on the Clippers active roster, although I guess Cord Phelps plays out there sometimes.

I wonder what the Indians think of Preston Guilmet, a 9th round pick a couple years ago from Arizona. In 52 innings at Lake County last season he fanned 79, against 10 walks and 35 hits. In 15 innings at Kinston he has 15 K, no walks, 8 hits and no runs. An almost 24 year old reliever in High A doesn't sound like a player going far.

Everyone's playing afternoon games this Sunday. Chisenhall with a homer, Jared Head also, for Columbus. Steven Wright is back at AAA pitching relief. Matt Packer with his second good start in a row, 4 innings scoreless so far. TJ House behind 2-0 after 2. Mike Rayl, about as surprising at Lake County as Josh Tomlin has been in Cleveland, with 6 shutout innings as his ERA drops below 2.

Clippers win in 10 - Nick Hagadone notches his first AAA win. Phelps' strike outs concern me:

Wow, 40K for Phelps. I hadn't noticed. He's swinging for the fences, with some successes, but maybe he's trying too hard?

Casey Frawley's 3 run 9th inning HR wins for Kinston 6-5. House 5 runs in 6. Another shutout inning for Preston Guilmet but he issues his first walk of the season.

My concern is that he is too patient. He's drawing a ton of walks and I wonder if he also looks at a lot of called strikes. I had similar concerns about Michael Aubrey back when he was a prospect after I watched him strike out in a five pitch at bat where he never took the bat off of his shoulders.

Winning trend continues with Lake County taking a 6-3 win over Dayton. 2 hits each by Aguillar, Moncrief, Martinez and Rodriguez. Aguillar and Moncrief each included a double, Carlos walked, too. Rodriguez with his 2nd steal. I thought we would have seen Tony Wolters by now; still recovering from broken hand. Closer Striz works 5 innings.

A little of everything by Jason Kipnis today as Columbus wins this afternoon. Homer, double, walk, steal (that's eight steals and five homers). Chisenhall singles and doubles.
Scott Barnes with the start and win. 5 innings 2 runs on 5 hits, 3 walks, and a healthy 7 K.
First AAA save by Nick Hagaadone: former RedSox prospect goes 2 1/3 allows only 1 hit, no walks, whiffs a pair.
