Thanks. I thought about taking Verlander with my first pick, since I knew there wouldn't be too many great pitchers available by the time my next turn came around.

I think you did the right thing. I would have taken Cabrera too.

I just liked Verlander better than Trout though - less risk. Obviously Trout could be huge, but Verlander has been there, done that, over and over. Not Trout.

To me, Verlander is a Hall of Famer, now in his prime years.

Hats off to TFIR. He seems to have the Midas touch with pitchers. Last year he drafted RA Dickey, and this year he has Yu Darvish!

I had David Price, RA Dickey, and CC going for me today, so I figured they'd give me a lot of points. BUT NOOOOOO! At least CC was decent.

Ouch. RA is having difficulty getting that knuckler warmed up in 2013.

Well, he's been pitching in a dome with the roof closed, Skydome gives up more homers than the new Mets park, he's facing AL batters now...
but still, I never thought he would stink this bad!

No, by "warmed up" I meant that it may take him awhile to get the feel for it this season.

He did not take off until later last season. If I remember correctly (and I may not) I actually grabbed him off waivers last year.

Also, remember, against the Tribe it was multiple misplays by the catcher that really helped them - that should get better with time.

In other words, I think he will be fine. Trade him to me if you think otherwise.
