Back to a 3 run lead again.
Really hope C.Perez can do his job tonight.

Of the four people who figured in that rally, Brantley is the only one who was on the team as recently as 6 weeks ago.

i think Kipnis is being promoted based on sizemore being out for 4-6 weeks. Strengthen 2nd in lieu of weaker outfield.
Kipnis is the best young player the Indians have.

Perez starts laboring with 2 outs again. And he's already up around 25 pitches in the inning.
If this guy reaches, Hamilton bats again.

Indians closer throws every pitch very close to the same speed. That will not work. He has given up runs in 8 of his last 10 appearances. Try someone else. He was very lucky to get by tonight! Young creamed that ball to end the game.

A win-win situation: the Tribe gets the W, and Perez won't be available to pitch on Sunday.

Thanks for the PBP guys. I missed the game real time.
It was pretty negative reading here until the end.
A win is a win.
Winning this series tomorrow would be great.
Manny Acta has his best season going in 2011 in his Major League Baseballl learning career.

Gave up listening after six, watched the mlb.tv "condensed game" this morning. It's an odd way to catch upon what happened in a game, but the best way without knowing in advance the outcome (GameTime!TM is great, no offense intended).
Sure there was that Asdrubal error and all but I too was surprised that Carmona didn't get yanked sooner. Maybe Acta was trying to save the BP but holy smokes you canNOT allow Texas to have a lead late at home. Nice to get this win but it nearly feels like a loss.

I think the problem with Perez relative to last year is that he has lost the little movement on his fastball, he still throws hard and in the lower part of the plate but that little bite at the end is gone.
Rusty, regarding fundamentals on the team I agree with you but Acta has addressed this by telling the team they should play fundamentally better. He sees the problem but how can he bench anyone when we are so decimated?
BTW try to give Acta at least 4 years as I did Wedge before you ask for his firing.
As I see it pitching Jiminez, Masterson, and Carmona back to back to back means there are some huge guys on the mound. Then Tomlin comes up and represents the little people.
