Another good Puerto Rican outing by Soto
CLE PRL Soto, Giovanni 5.1 4 1 1 3 10 1.10 L (1 - 1)
Still only age 23.
Not one of those little lefties. He's 6-2 190.
Maybe he'll still provide some value as our compensation for Peralta?

Cleveland Indians pitching prospect Justus Sheffield, a 2014 first-round pick, arrested on charges of aggravated burglary, underage drinking
CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Justus Sheffield, a first-round draft selection by the Indians last June, was reportedly arrested on Monday on charges of aggravated burglary and underage drinking in his hometown of Tullahoma, Tenn.
According to the Tullahoma News, Sheffield was released after posting $5,500 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 5.
Sheffield, the 2014 Gatorade National Baseball Player of the Year, and two others, allegedly broke into a residence at about 4:30 a.m. on Monday in search of a man who said the 18-year-old pitcher threatened him. Sheffield reportedly accused the man of "messing around with his girlfriend" and admitted to consuming several alcoholic beverages before the encounter.
Cleveland.com has submitted a request for the police report stemming from the incident.
The Indians released the following statement on Tuesday afternoon: "The organization is aware of the report involving Justus Sheffield. We have spoken with Justus about the incident and are in the process of gathering additional information. Beyond that, we will not comment further until the legal process is completed."
Sheffield, the 31st player chosen in the 2014 amateur draft, posted a 3-1 record and 4.79 ERA in eight outings with the Tribe's rookie league team last summer. He tallied 29 strikeouts in 20 2/3 innings.

Typical story for a Tribe 18-year-old top prospect:
Justus Sheffield arrested for breaking and entry. It sounds like he probably was going after an ex-girlfriend [?]
The only pitcher of any quality in our Top 10.
Of course sometimes these guys grow up: Chisenhall was thrown out of college for a burglary. Some don't: Dillon Howard had a drug suspension, didn't stay in shape and "retired" at age 20 with his $1.8M bonus in his pocket.

from Baseball America:
Justus Sheffield, the Indians’ second first-round pick in 2014 and No. 31 overall out of Tullahoma (Tenn.) High, was arrested Monday on charges of aggravated burglary and underage drinking, the Tullahoma News reported.
Along with Sheffield, 18, two other former members of the Tullahoma baseball team, Samuel Greyson Grow, 18, and Robert Tyler Burns, 19, were arrested for allegedly breaking into a residence on Cumberland Avenue around 4:30 a.m. Monday.
Sheffield told Tullahoma Police that he went to the residence to “discuss some issues with Brody Thomasson,” who lives at the address. Another man, Jeremy Thurman, who also lives at the residence, told police he was awakened by knocking. He then heard a noise in the kitchen, and looked up and saw Sheffield in the house, heading for Thomasson’s bedroom, the newspaper reported.
Thurman said he heard shouting and yelling, so he got up and called police.
According to the newspaper, Thomasson told police that Sheffield allegedly ran into his room and started “yelling and threatening to beat him up for messing around with his girlfriend.”
Sheffield was charged with aggravated burglary and violation of the drinking age law. He was released after posting $5,500 bond. He is to appear in court on Feb. 5.
Burns and Grow were charged with aggravated criminal trespassing and underage drinking and will appear in court the same day.
The Indians did not immediately respond to calls for comment.
Sheffield, who recently ranked as the Indians’ No. 4 prospect, passed on a chance to go to Vanderbilt and signed with Cleveland for $1.6 million in June. At his best, Sheffield offers a combination of power stuff from the left side and athleticism on the mound. His fastball typically sits in the low 90s with late life, but he was able to run it up to 95-96 mph in the Rookie-level Arizona League. He has the upside to be a No. 2 starter if everything comes together.

sea the 'beef' is ion our starting pitching in the big leagues. Surely you see that????
Indians are now built for long term contention on a 'small market' payroll. Indians are the best run professional franchise in Cleveland by a long, long way.....
