TFISC is just starving for attention. No one is responding to his posts so he has decided to do what he does best.

Make things up !

LOL, good idea putting that picture up of your moderator's log. Sad to see TFinSC go this way.

I don't understand your post JR about the "playin" team. There are two wild card teams who play one game to join the three division winners. We're running No. 3 in the wild card race.

CIV: I guess I was confused about that then. It takes a while for an old dog like me to learn new tricks.

New rules are designed to confuse. I try hard to forget what I used to know so I can know what I need to know.

Didn't I read that if two teams tie for the first wild card, they would play each other, and only one would go on to play the next team behind them? So if Oakland and Tampa Bay tie, e.g. they would play each other, and we would play the winner.

20,000 empty seats at The Prog tonight. Shaps is an exemplary baseball org guy, says Rusty.

The $25 million 2014 anchor of Swish and Cabs are still struggling to pass .240, and now their batting problems have impacted the rest of the team.

I smell beer and fried chicken in the locker room.

(Someone let MtFan know what that reference is all about)

Shaps is probably saying, well I brought in "Coma" because I thought everyone loved that scene giving the fried chicken to that Pedro guy in "Major League." Shaps continues, "You know, the player doing State Farm commercials now."

And seriously people need to get over the attendance thing. With the exception of 8 years of a perfect storm of the new stadium the browns leaving town and an actual resurgence of downtown..... this is pretty much the norm for Indians attendance. Win the world series and you may see more. If you are going to base your fandom on stadium attendance, then by all means buy a hundred season tickets for a Cleveland Youth organization to ensure at least a hundred kids get to see the games live. If not then please go see at least 20 games yourself. Or if that's an inconvenience stopbitching about it and go root for the Yankees or the Tigers. I hear they sell out.

Also, real attendance progress usually lags a year.

No one was interested in those season tickets after last year. Going to be an easier sell this offseason.

Pluto suggests Akron's Jesus Aguillar will be among the many promoted for September.

Tito will probably want a 12-15 man bullpen so we can expect the return of Langwell, Guilmet, Pestano, Lee, House, Hagadone, maybe Joe Martinez, probably not Bauer.

Just in time too. Cody Allen's arm has to be hanging by a thread.

We are off tomorrow, but the next week could be make-or break. 3 games in ATL, then 3 in DET. The A's play the Tigers before we do, then the Rays, and the O's have the Red Sox and the Skankees. So we have a great opportunity to pass Oakland for the WC, and put some distance between us and the O's. I don't like our chances v. the Tigers, based on the way they have dominated us, but if we miraculously sweep the series...

Super cool story about the Santana and Kipnis home runs. Rusty, who I am no longer CB'ing, shared elsewhere here..... earlier.

I try to watch "Pride of the Yankees" at least in bits, two or three times a year.
