I went out to my car again tonight, only to be let down. It's ironic that Sabathia was having yet another great outing at the same time as LaPorta couldn't get the job done...

I really thought they would at least tie it up

Hard to 2nd guess that strategy with LaPorta at the plate with no outs and the bases loaded.

Had to hope for at least a sac fly from him.

It ended up being a fluke DP.


That's the beauty of baseball, though it's ordinarily only beautiful for one team as nice things occur....

We're still in a pennant race by the way, and August comes in a few days.....

I don't know much about that Angel catcher, but he had a career defensive 9th inning.
