I've got a bad feeling about this.
Well at least this particular series.
I've said before this years version of the tribe is probably the streakiest team I've ever witnessed. They are either remarkable or forgetful for extended time periods with little else in between. We've been pretty remarkable this road trip but the way it ended, with two fall from ahead losses.....mainly due to pitching woes , is not a good sign with a fairly critical series against the Tigers. Hopefully the hitting doesn't dissappear again as well, and we can make a respectable stand.
We caught them, and are well within capablites to get ahead of them. However they can just as easily put us back in the hole.
Lets hope these last couple losses are behind them and they can get up for the next couple of games. A win tonight takes a little pressure off, at least Masterson is going so that makes me feel a little better. And we've done surprising well at home, let's hope the trend continues.

3618Well let's hope Masty can throw another complete game shut out and the bats make some noise so they can have a reason to come back for more.rusty2 wrote:Game tonight is almost sold out.

Re: General Discussion
3619A lot of Detroit fans coming down, I guess. Upper deck outfield seats are $37. Standing room @$21.

3620That's funny....I'm sure it's not politically correct, but damn funny all the same.J.R. wrote:Indians are scalping their own tix!

Re: General Discussion
3622Time to remake the bullpen. Shaw and Hill are unreliable. Albers has been OK but not much more. Allen is slumping and could be optioned out since he has all 3 options remaining. CC Lee is up to Columbus on his rehab. Blake Wood, too. Maybe Guilmet worth a major league look. The only lefty in the upper minors who's pitching well is Matt Packer at Akron. Trades should be considered.
Re: General Discussion
3623Does the new "dynamic" ticket pricing scheme allow us to charge Tiger fans more?
Re: General Discussion
3625No surprise. Danny Salazar will get the start on Thursday. Hard thrower, has had only a few off days. Limited to about 85 pitches. Might not be quite as taltented as Bauer or Carrasco, but close behind. We'll see if he can handle the pressure of majors better than Carrasco and listen to his catcher and his coaches better than Mr. Wizard Bauer.
Re: General Discussion
3626Danny was my breakout pitcher a couple of seasons ago along with Steven Wright and Toru Murata.

3627A nod to JACK THE DAD.J.R. wrote:RIP, JACK THE DAD
I remember his moniker well. I wish he would have posted more often.
Re: General Discussion
3628I think only a few of us knew him, and he was a really nice, outgoing guy. He wasn't happy when the Canton-Akron Indians moved to Akron, since he was from the former city. I saw him at a few games in Akron, along with DONNA, perhaps DENVER LOU and JOEZ? He called himself "the dad" since he was father to 10 children, and I don't know how many grand and great-grand children. He was loved and will be missed by many!

3629I think I did meet Jack at one time JR. I think Dennis may have been there also.

3630I recall he knew the woman usher (in her 70s) who danced on top of the dugout to YMCA, during the 7th inning.
