For years he got away with his made up stories.
I don't know about that Rusty. Some of that stuff one just doesn't make up. Personally, I believe most if not all of his "stories".

All I can say is....... you would !

Bet you did not think he would slam all the posters here for rooting for the Indians either.

On both cases you were wrong.

Gore's version had airplay, of course. Stations in my parts of the country outside of Cleveland that played "oldies" usually played the Dusty Springfield version from her first album.

LOL!

Looks like Rusty must have deleted another one his posts as he has over the years. I see no "Rusty is currently on your ignore list" in my forum view now that could have been that post in time sequence.

Rusty has had more pseudo personalities posting on these Cleveland boards over the years than Sybil.

The front office drives me crazy also Tribe Fan.

They made the supreme sacrifice this year. They parted with some of that cache Dolan had stored up in his vaults. Also, a big hand to MLB for making some of this happen. It remains to be seen whether or not it was spent wisely enough. I just wish they would have parted with some of that reserve last year. No secrets that I may have tried to run in a slightly different direction. The point is, they at least tried to put a decent product on the field this year. It may still be if the pitching shows up again.

You have any more of those travelogue stories left ?? :P
JoeZ, lack of appreciation for Mark Shapiro and his hiring decisions and baseball decisions over the years has been a consistent drum I have pounded for multiple seasons now.

Shapiro has not produced even a winning season in the last five, and it looks pretty solid he's going for six. Not contention, just a winning record, so it's a pretty low bar.

He's 2 for 12 in winning seasons since becoming General Manager and later inexplicably promoted to President of The Cleveland Indians.

I posted clearly last season that if Mark Shapiro was still around I was going to have a hard time following the Cleveland Indians in 2013.

I also posted over his off season moves that I believed he and Antonetti were hoping to get the results of "drawing to an inside straight" in poker.

I posted that I liked Nick Swisher, and in fact he is a distant relative of mine, but that he was at best an interchangeable part for Choo's departure.

I'm consistent, and have been for years.

I do not want to give up on Cleveland Indians Baseball, but "judging by the attendance" and the fleeing regular posters like rodents from a doomed ship.....many are.

Confession, I ONCE used a pseudonym and made up persona to post on these boards. It was back in about 1998.

I posted as "Philip Nolan," a guy from Quebec.

CharlieT, a once prolific poster and a very good writer and perhaps the best writer here ever was the only one who noted, "'isn't that the same name as the main character in "Man Without a Country?"

Bet Mark Shapiro and Chris Antonetti cannot answer questions about the basis of "Man Without a Country."

Any team can go into a slump.

The way I would get out of it would be to bring up Chisenhall and play him at 3B period.

Move Reynolds to 1B.

Santana catches more as a result and Swisher DH's and aletrnates with Reynolds at DH/Ib

After all, we gave LaPorta and Marte plenty of chances.

We are also striking out too much. I am surprised that a speddy CF,leadoff guy like Bourn strikes out as much as he does. His gold glove in CF is a bit rusty as well. But he is not the main problem.

One thing I have noticed is a lot of grounders go to RF because Kipnos shades toward second too much. let the guy place himself in a more natural position.

Reynolds is streaky and we have to live with it, but the power has been turned off at 13 HR, 41 RBI for quite a while.

Once again, because you can not figure out what Joe Z quoted (probably drunk again) you accuse me of deleting posts and posting under a pseudo personality.

I have never posted under a different name. Why would I need to ? I really do not see a reason unless you got banned or lost your ability to get on the site and had to change names. Neither has happened to me.

Which leads us to you. You accuse me and then say that you felt a need to post under a pseudonym supposedly from Canada. Why ?

Every one of your recent posts has just let everyone here know, "the real you".

Whether you know it or not, "the real you" is really, really scaring even your most ardent of supporters.

This is a streaky team, all or nothing with hitting....the all made up of for mediocre pitching, the nothing....well unless Masterson was going to pitch 1 and 2 hit shutouts all year long to stop a streak, this is what we get.

Shoulda won last night though, and I figured we would have taken game 3 against Detriot.

I would like this losing streak to stop, now.

I would like the losing trend of the past 3 weeks to turn around back to when we were 12 of 15, or 17 of 21 like we were at one point.

It would be nice to turn it around and be a couple games above .500 and less than 5 games behind Detroit.

Bring Chisenhall up, flip flop some guys around like lou suggested.

Pitching....IDK, I don't forsee any help in the near future. It was said in the beginning of the year that the starting pitching was the biggest hole, and now the back end went up in smoke (pun intended)

I'd like to buy a hit or two, but it seems as though nobody wants to sell any.

Santana catches more as a result and Swisher DH's and alternates with Reynolds at DH/Ib

Don't forget Gomes, he's done a lot more than Swisher or Reynolds in the past four-six weeks. He'll share those C/1B/DH/RF/3B at bats with Santana, Swisher, Reynolds, Chisenhall and Stubbs

I agree Civ and I really like Gomes and have no problem with him in the mix but I am a bit uncomfortable with Swisher in RF.

Wonder if Santana could play a little 3B, would be duck like as the Dodger 3B was years ago.
