But what about the animals, what would they be made of?

3411I occasionally skim through the Browns folder but I don't post since I lost much of my interest in Cleveland sports except for the indians. While skimming, I found the above post rather interesting.Posted: Thu Apr 25, 2013 9:54 pm

I came here to see what people thought about the selection, but, judging by the complete lack of reaction (excepting SEA's joke) I assume you are all stunned.

No, this place is almost as boring as the Tribe forum.
I wonder if the boredom comes from the fact that we have a lot of boring sports teams in town with not very many exciting things to post about !?!?!?! Actually, I think we do a nice job of keeping people informed about our baseball teams. We try to do the best we can with what we've been dealt.

Re: General Discussion
3412Thinking back, the most exciting player we've had in Cleveland in a decade was LeBron James. We will have to go back nearly two decades to relive any real excitement with our baseball teams. Football?!?! I don't even remember if we had a winning season since the "new" Browns came to town. Basketball??? The only show in town was James. It's pretty easy to become complacent when there's nothing to get excited about. By the way, what's up with Mike Brown ???

3413Maybe it's just me, but I found the 2007 playoffs for the Indians to be pretty exciting.
Re: General Discussion
3414It was JR, but in the overall scheme of things, sport in Cleveland looked pretty ugly. Imagine what the scene could have been without Lebron around.
Without cheating, 2007, who was in the starting rotation, who was the closer, and how did the lineup look. Let's break it down to playoffs only.

Re: General Discussion
3416I'm not all that great at recalling players, but that doesn't mean it wasn't exciting at the time. I know we had CC and Fausto, our two best chances to beat Boston. But CC was terrible both games of that series. We had Westbrook and Cliff Lee, too. I remember Jake had some good games, but Lee didn't. Was he even on the postseason roster? And who can forget the Skankee series and the midges?
VMart, Pronk, Peralta, Grady (not hurt that year!) KLove was back (still standing on 3B at Fenway) Blake, Garko (I think) oh yeah, Trot Nixon with the pies...
And your relative JoBo was the closer.

Re: General Discussion
3417Wasn't that the year that Lee was sent down and wasn't on the post-season roster?
Re: General Discussion
3418I think the whole John Hart run and the Kosar run were great times in Cleveland sports. Never cared much for the NBA LBJ or not. OSU football/basketball keeps the good times rolling these days....
Re: General Discussion
3419I've just been busy as hell lately and it's not going to let up any time soon. I check in when I can but I don't have much to comment on because I don't have time to follow very closely.
But I do still follow all the Cleveland teams and my interest hasn't waned, only where they fall as far as priority goes for the time being isn't very high on my considerable list.

3420Barnes sent back to Columbus.
If they bring up a pitcher to start a game soon who would be sent down?
Hagadone?
