Each of the 7 Tribe pitchers had a K today, ending up with 11 for the day

I guess Acta didn't have a lot of choice with how he ordered his pitchers for the 7 relief innings, but I give him a Gold Star for managing and shuffling his lineup today.

Giants 5 Detroit 0 in the 2nd inning.

I guess closer Brian Wilson went ballistic after a bad outing last night and took a bat to the water cooler.

Today the water cooler has been decorated with bandages.


Odd thing was that Brian Wilson earned a blown save...as well as the win.

Duane Kuiper notes during the Giants telecast that The Indians have won all five games over Cincy this season. And then he goes on to tell about Carmona and the 6 man-7 inning relief job.

Kuiper always talks a bit about The Tribe during his telecasts.

Outstanding Bullpen Effort! Those guys have kept us in contention nearly every game and in first place. Reds go 1-13 RISP with BPhillips doing absolutely nothing for the Reds cause.

Finally, the "mystery" injury that will let Carmona "rehab' in the minors for a few weeks.

Carmona's injury allowed the Indians to get the win! I do not think he would have held the Reds to 1 or 2 runs. Maybe we are back to a hot streak.

Come on Cali, stop the rain in SF and let the Giants beat the tiggers!

The broadcast has resumed with the tarp still on. Duane Kuiper said they will be able to get the game in.

One of my horse racing acquaintances just won a the big Grade 1 9th race at Hollywood Park a few minutes ago, so I was off the Giants for awhile and purely on TVG.

It's in Detroit isn't it?
