only about 75 days. Maybe you ought to try hibernation. It works for bears, why not for Tribe fans.

I thought the Shapiro/Antonetti/Dolan plan was for Cleveland Indian Fans to take a rope a dope and bite on a three card monte.
I'd suggest hibernating with one eye open if one cares about this franchise.

Carlos Santana - C - Indians
Carlos Santana left a game Saturday in the Dominican Winter League after fouling a ball off of his right knee.
Santana was in noticeable pain and needed to be helped off the field. But ESPN's Buster Olney reports that trainers are not concerned that the 26-year-old suffered any kind of serious injury. It's likely just a bad bruise.
FYI

Uh-oh. That means he's headed for arthroscopic surgery which should do the job, but doesn't. Then they will discover it's something else...the Indians will hang on to him for a few more years, in which he will play a total of 7 games.

Youkilis is weighing a one-year offer worth $12 million to put on the Yankees' pinstripes, but he also has a two-year offer from Cleveland to take over as the full-time first baseman. The Tribe's potential pact is worth $18 million, according to ESPN's Buster Olney.
WoW!
They are willing to give an over-the-hill Youkilis a 9 million dollar a year contract and refused to do so last year with Cespedes !?!?!

Cespedes was a prospect=suspect. Although he worked out well for the A's!

If those are actually the terms of the two offers, which would you take? If you take the NY deal you and you play no worse than you played last year, which wasn't very good, you probably will get over $6M for 2014. And if you take the NY deal you have a pretty good (not great) chance for the postseason; much less so with the Tribe. Only if you really enjoy working with Francona would you choose Cleveland's offer.

Is it me or did the Indians always make their offers public?
What does publicly disclosing your offer buy you?
Maybe this is the new strategy.....negoitate in public.

I don't know if they'll be as good or better than Cespedes, but Yasiel Puig and Alay Soler were also free agents and we never signed any of them either. All are outfielders. All possess strong arms. Cespedes has shown he can hit for power and average. According to the Cuban scouting reports, Puig and Soler have similar abilities as Cespedes. Some say they are better than Cespedes. 2013 will be an interesting year for Puig (Dodgers) and Soler (Cubs).

Wow, did you know Brian Barton too ? How about Jody Gerut ? How about Alex Ramirez ? Did you know about them too ? Oh, you forgot about them.
How about fast forwarding to this year and making reasonable suggestions. Or do you just want to continue to cry ?

Alex Ramirez will be a member of the Japanese Hall of Fame after he retires. Too bad about Jody Gerut. He had a promising career until he tore up his knee. Everyone make a mistake now and then. I did miss on Barton. If Ramirez would have put up half the numbers he put up in Japan, he'd be going into the Indian Hall of Fame
