4 run lead for us as we go to the bottom of the 9th.

I might let Chris Perez go in a non-save situation to nail down this series win. Tomorrow is an off day

Tony Sipp is getting stuff stacked on his hat in the bullpen. A few hats, and then cups on top of each other. AZ cameras having a fun time catching it.

Two down.....

We win the series and head back to The Buckeye State.

We are 7 and 7 in our last 14. We just need to ratchet that up a bit to stay in the race.

We're 1/2 game out of first as we reach the last day of June.

I might have though about sacrificing with Hanahan and see if Hafner could hit a fly ball.
Hanahan tried early in the count and couldn't do it.

Thanks, Civ. I missed that real time.

And I'll correct myself on the "1/2 game out of first place" on the last day of June. For some reason I thought Detroit was idle today.

I see now they are down 5-2 to the Mets in the 5th. If that trend holds we will be in First Place as we reach the last day of June.

WE are idle tomorrow, but the Tigers have the Mets again.

EDIT: Mets are now up 8-2 over the Tigers and still batting with a runner on and no outs in the 5th

JR must be headed to Massachusetts for his annual trip? Or maybe he's on an early jump down I-71 to catch The Tribe in Cincy on Friday?

DTR looks like an Irish guy. Good pic of both of you!

Did you share here you were off to Minnie? Drive it? You normally do.

How long are you there for?

Edit: Nice pics at the link, too. I used to stay at a Marriott somewhere in those downtown buildings. It looked towards the HHH dome. Looks like the skyline has changed much since I last visited. Minnie is a town I only went to once or twice on business. Had an office in Hopkins and vividly remember the leaves starting to change colors in August the year I was there. Sometimes I stayed downtown and sometimes in Minnetonka. Years ago I dated a girl from Dallas who went to college at the University of Minnesota....she was a 3rd generation Swede with lots of family there. That was one of the few times I (robbed the cradle )dated a girl much younger than me......14 years. She loved Laura Ashley and dressed the part. I liked that. When I was in town there seemed to be nice comedy clubs and places to hear live music.

It's easy to catch people on the trivia that the Mississippi River goes through the Twin Cities.

JR, if you did drive I might recommend you deviate a bit on the trip home and first drive South before you return east. "The Field of Dreams" is not all that far out of the way on the trip home. Also, you can see Northeastern Iowa where the glacier missed and there is rolling terrain and high bluffs over the Mississippi River that few think of when thinking of Iowa.

I bet the corn is getting high enough that the walk through it off the "Field of Dreams" would be worthwhile. When I was there it was just before harvest and it was an unexpectedly slightly emotional experience. I'm very glad I went there, though I haven't checked on the latest status.
