Wow if he is that good defensively.
Small sample size! but a great debut. I took a look at Isbel's baserunning stats and he's pretty bad: thrown out 6 of 15 attempts [on Cleveland he would either learn how to steal bases or they would not send him; good coaching is a lot of the reason for our success]
The reports on Bo's defense have been very positive through his minor league career. even after his terrible 2021 at the plate he remained a solid prospect because of his catching skills.
It's his job next year and for as long as he stays healthy. It's unlikely he hits worse than Hedges but defense behind the plate is still the priority.

Arias error, 2nd in 2 days, leads to an extended inning and then Royals tee off on Plesac, double-double-double. Zach is no Cody Morris.

Arias continues to display his varied skills
Over the last 3 games he has
Made an error at Third base
Made an error at Shortstop
Made an error at Second Base
Let’s see if he can complete the set: hope he gets a start at 1st on Monday

Some debuts are better than others

Brennan first triple and first homer
Hitting 344 with 900 OPS

Bo Naylor with a perfext 4 strikeouts in 4 at bats; one fair ball in his first 6 big lesgue at bats

The two defensive klutzes at it again last night:

Kansas City beat the Guardians, 5-2, in 10 innings at Progressive Field. Drew Waters, following a throwing error by shortstop Gabriel Arias, hit a three-run homer

The Guardians couldn’t take advantage of the break. Waters hit a grounder to Miller at first base as McKenzie came off the mound to cover. Miller seemingly could have made the out himself, but he motioned as if to flip the ball to McKenzie, who wasn’t quite at the bag. Then he tried to make the out himself, but Waters beat him to the bag for a single and a 1-0 lead.

That makes 4 straights games Arias has commtted an error. There is no room for that kind of "talent" on a playoff team's bench
Miller is less likely to commit errors than bonehead plays.

Oh where oh where has Ernie Clement gone?! Too late to recapture him, he's on the A's
But it's not too late to bring back Tyler Freeman; not a super-defender but he doesn't stink either.

Totally agree on Freeman. Arias seems to want to be Lindor but cannot hold a candle to him. I feel that he is all about Arias

If you asked me in April if this team would win 92 games and walk away with the AL central, I would have said "No Way, Jose"

Wrong again.

I don't think we took bets on a record this year, so no one can claim to have got it right. No one expected much at all; the outfield was still full of nobodies, the bullpen was too young; who knew if Naylor would recover. At least we had Reyes to knock in runs.

first bit of a rally ended by my least favorite Guardian, Miller.

boy this game is moving along quickly; well played, well pitched. a Rays solo homer in the 6th; Jose responds in the bottom half with a 2 run smack

I thought these teams didn't hit homers.
Bieber exits after 7 2/3. Closes the 8th.

top of the order for Gs in the 8th. For Rays in the 9th.
